We've got a new menu! 17 May 2009
The food's scrumptious! Here's the menu for the rest of the winter. Don't forget to ask Jared or Bart if you have a special requirement or request.
Chef Jared is NZ Army-trained and qualified and has been a chef at Parliament, and chef'd around the world including for a world renowned TV chef in the UK. He's also a consultant chef with his own business.
- Thursdays and Fridays, 6.00 - 8.30pm.

Bookings are not essential - however if you are bringing in an unexpected group of say more than 4 please have the courtesy to ring ahead on 388-2029, and press option 4 for the kitchen. Prior bookings are strongly recommended for larger groups.
Sunday roasts are on! 17 May 2009
Due to popular demand the Sunday Roasts start this Sunday 17th May.
- from 5.30pm until about 7.30pm.
- Roast Lamb with veggies, gravy and ... Yorkshire puds!
- $12.50 on its own or $16 with dessert.
- Smaller serve and pricing will be available on request from the kitchen/servery (available to children up to 7pm).
- Bar Snacks will also be available.
Subs are overdue 01 May 2009
- Reminder to those who have not yet paid - 2009 membership subscriptions are now well overdue and must be paid immediately, or your membership will lapse.

- We now email our newsletters to those we have email addresses for; newsletters will also be posted but the posted ones will take several days longer to get to you.
- We also use email for quick updates that will otherwise only be displayed at the club and/or on our web site.
- An address update form can be found at the back of this newsletter (PDF). Please send this in to the club if you have changed or can add any details.
Bar prices 01 May 2009
Bar prices are going up shortly. Prices are posted at the club, and there is a sample here. Note that this increase has been entirely eaten up by the recent Brewery price increases and that further price increase will likely be necessary within the next few months to account for other increased costs. Our prices are still well below those of many other similar clubs.
- The Bar Rosters are currently being re-done and we will endeavour to check with all volunteers. More volunteers are needed now for Bar Duties and Duty Officers (aka lockup persons). Please contact Les Coutts, Adele Trezise, or Phil Rock if you are able to help. Our numbers are available at the club if you can't catch us there.
